The organisation believes that the progress of a nation depends greatly upon the 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲, 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵. The objectives of Jawaharlal Nehru National Youth Centre focus on the 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 through education, vocational training, sports, cultural activities, community participation and social service.

The Haridwar Unit represents the local journey of this broader vision of youth development.
According to the foundation plaque installed at the Haridwar centre, the foundation stone of the building of 𝗝𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝗵𝗿𝘂 𝗥𝗮𝘀𝗵𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘆𝗮 𝗬𝘂𝘃𝗮 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮, 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿 was laid by 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗶, then Chief Minister of Uttaranchal, on 𝗦𝟮𝟮 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟱.
Since then, the Haridwar Unit has continued its efforts towards creating opportunities for youth through 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
Our mission is to empower young people through education, skill development, digital literacy, sports, cultural participation and community engagement. We aim to create opportunities that build confidence, self-reliance, discipline, leadership and teamwork among youth. We encourage girls’ education and empowerment, promote healthy and active lifestyles through sports and yoga, and inspire young people to participate in social service and community welfare. Through constructive and inclusive activities, we strive to develop responsible, capable and socially conscious citizens who can contribute meaningfully to the progress of society and the vision of a stronger, inclusive and developed India.

Jawaharlal Nehru Rashtriya Yuva Kendra (JNNYC) carries a proud legacy of youth empowerment, education, social service and nation building. Inspired by the ideals of great national leaders, the organization has consistently worked to create opportunities that help young people become educated, skilled, confident and socially responsible citizens.
The JNNYC Haridwar Unit continues this legacy through initiatives in education, digital literacy, skill development, sports, youth development and community service. Guided by the vision and contribution of Late Pandit Narayan Dutt Tiwari, the centre remains committed to creating meaningful opportunities for youth.
